Hotel industry in India is booming as the country managing to woo more international tourists each year. India is also promoting itself as the best tourist destination. The country is highlighting its different culture and heritage to attract tourists from across the globe. The industry is noticing a growth of almost 20%-30% each year. Fee structure for Bachelors programme: Those who want to pursue a Bachelors degree from any recognised college or institute need to spend somewhere around Rs. 40,000 to 90,000 per annum. If you get admission in government colleges there you need to pay Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 per annum as programme fee.
Entrance Exam: To get admission in any government college you need to take a central entrance exam conducted to enroll students. Those who qualify the exam will get admission in government technical/vocational colleges according to their ranks in the entrance test and Class 12th scores. The admission will be given on merit basis.
Eligibility Criteria: Aspirants must have done their 10+2 from a recognised board or university with minimum 45% marks, with English as compulsory subject.
Career options for aspirants: There are enough job opportunities available for hotel management graduates in various fields. They can join any hotel or restaurant across the country. They can also join international hotel chains. Students with good skills from well known colleges can be absorbed easily in the industry in catering services.
