If you can do/agree/like to do the following, then do opt for hotel management.
    1. mostly hotel management college profesors are misfits, who could not work for longer in hotels, took some experience and opted for a relaxed life, and became professors
    2. you will be sent for industrial training to hotels during your hotel management course. you will have to wipe more than 200 plate, spoons, forks, glasses, etc, clean toilets, wash utensils in kitchen, clean dirty fish, work for 18 to 20 hours daily, run around sending messages and xeroxing pages in front office, clean public areas etc….in industrial training.
3 after doing the course, you can join hotels. if u r fron IHM, gud, or else if ur colg has gud placement. walkins are not entertained anywhere.
4 if u r ready to work in most worst conditions and get yourself demoralizes, and insulted every moment, and paid very less(even my kamvali earns more than hotel management professionals).., and if u r ready for all this, go for hotel management. this is a harsh reality. if u want to end up workin in hotels and having regrets for a lifetime, do hotel management. yes and let me tell u, if u say u hav passion for wines or cooking, all your passion will die in industrial traing, and rest after u start working in hotels. nobody gives a damn to what you like, just work work and work, and get less money…
